As we enter the winter months, we brainstormed several fun games that we can do inside at your toddler’s party this winter. Here are 5 simple, fun games that you can play at any party, whether it be at home or with us at Pump It Up!
Freeze Dance
Turn up the music and get the kids dancing to the beat! Show them how they should stop as soon as the music stops, and see how long the kids can last before the wiggles get the best of them. Whoever can last the longest without moving can win a small prize, like a sticker or a stamp. This is a great way to let some energy and silliness out at your party.
Balloon Volleyball
All you need for this game is an air-filled balloon (or two!) and a mock-net setup, which can be as simple as a broomstick or tape on the floor. Split the kids into two teams and see how long they can keep the balloon in the air without letting it drop. Encourage the kids to make sure everyone gets a chance to touch the balloon before it drops to involve all party-goers. This is a great activity for Pump It Up parties as well, since we have no shortage of balloons to go around!
Obstacle Course
Use items you have around the house to create a fun obstacle course for the kids to run, climb, and slide through. If you’re celebrating with us at Pump It Up, you can certainly use our giant inflatables to set up a course with our Party Professionals! This is a great activity to allow the kids to work together as a team and foster a fun, competitive environment during your party.
Bubble Extravaganza
Toddlers are amazed by the fun that bubbles can bring, and this is an easy way to entertain all your party-goers. Give the adults individual bubble cups and let them fill the room with bubbles for the kids. Or, you can find a bubble machine to really amp up the fun. Turn on the music and let the kids spin around in the bubble-filled room. At Pump It Up, many locations have the option for a Bubble Bash in the arenas. Contact your local facility to see if you can add this on to your party!
Building Blocks
Most homes may have some form of building blocks for their toddlers to play with. Set these up and let the kids’ imagination run wild! See who can build the highest tower or the coolest castle. This is a great way to slow down after some of the more active game options and really put their creativity to the test with their friends.
Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean your parties can’t be filled with fun when you’re celebrating at home. Many of these ideas can be used when you party with us at Pump It Up, and we hope you’ll consider celebrating with us soon! Find out more at www.pumpitupparty.com.
