REAL ESTATE FAQ ABOUT PUMP IT UP

1. Please describe the concept?

  • A safe and clean environment where kids of all ages and their families can enjoy supervised celebrations, group gatherings, pop in playdates, camps, field trips and community fundraisers.
  • Our concept is not open to the public. All parties and pop in playdates are by reservation only.
  • Inside the facility we provide custom made inflatables, which are safe, clean and supervised for safe play.
  • The groups spend 90 minutes in the inflatable arena and then 30 minutes in the party room for a total party time of 2 hours.
  • The Pump It Up facility operates very similar to gymnastics, soccer, basketball, and skating facilities. During the weekday, it is open for events mostly during the after school hours and evenings. On the weekends, it will be open from early morning to the early evening.
  • Most of the traffic generated from the use of the facility will be during non-peak travel times.
  • During most of the events, the adult driver will drop off and pick up the children(similar to a sporting facility).

2. Is the facility open to the public? And what are the hours of operation?

  • Every function is by reservation only.
  • Although we are open 9 am to 10 pm, most of our business is done after 3:30 PM weekdays and weekend daytime.

3. How many parking spaces do you need?

  • We need approximately 4 to 1 parking spaces or 4 to every 1,000 square feet.

4. Will children be unsupervised or loitering in the parking lot?

  • We staff all parties with one supervisor and minimum of 2 staff per arena
  • Because parents can play on the inflatables, they also help supervise
  • Children will only be in parking lot when coming in or going out.

5. Is this franchisee financially qualified for this investment?

  • All franchisees are financially qualified to purchase a Pump It Up franchise and have met a minimum net worth to qualify.
  • They purchase a 10 year franchise agreement with options for longer term.
  • Our current requirements include 100k of liquid assets and a total of $500k net worth.

6. What kind of insurance will the franchisee carry? Describe your safety record?

  • Each franchisee will carry a $1M/2M aggregate policy.
  • Each Pump It Up franchisee goes through extensive safety training and we allow only limited number of people on every inflatable to insure safety.
  • A safety video has to be seen by each party before playing.
  • Each person has to sign a waiver.
  • Each party is well supervised by trained staff.

7. How does PIU Management support the franchisee to insure success?
Facility layout and design.

  • Construction overview.
  • Grand opening scheduling, planning and promotion.
  • Management operations training.
  • Post grand opening marketing and advertising.
  • New equipment and activity recommendations.
  • Financial Fitness Training.
  • Continuing education and training.

8. How is Pump It Up involved in the community?

  • Pump It Up franchisees play a key role in fundraisers for schools, city recreation groups and other worthy groups.
  • Franchisees are requested to perform one fundraiser per quarter.
